Takealot Internships Combine Workplace Experience, Training and Mentorship

Checked 1 November 2026: Takealot’s official recruitment pages display application forms for the two internships below. No closing date is stated on either page. Availability can change; use the form for the specific role rather than a general expression of interest.
HR Intern: 18-month contract
The Johannesburg Distribution Centre role requires N6 in Human Resources. Applicants need Microsoft Office proficiency, data-capturing and administration skills, accuracy, numerical and analytical ability, organisation, time management and confidentiality. Knowledge of South African labour legislation and HR functions is also required.
Work includes onboarding, employee queries, HR and payroll administration, filing, systems support, CCMA-case assistance and projects. The application requests a CV and N6 qualification, and asks about Johannesburg location and previous SETA internship participation.

Transport and Logistics Intern: 12-month contract
The Montague Gardens distribution-centre role in Cape Town requires NCV Level 4 in Transport and Logistics. The advert lists computer and Microsoft Office skills, communication, attention to detail, time management, data interpretation and presentation, and understanding of socioeconomic and public-policy issues.
It also explicitly lists “Private Security Sector/SAPS/Armed Forces experience”. Do not assume that this is waived because the position is an internship; ask Takealot if clarification is needed.
Duties include warehouse operations, procedures, reporting, performance monitoring and problem-solving. The form requests a CV and NCV certificate and asks about Cape Town location and previous SETA internship participation.

Training and benefits
Both adverts describe technical and soft-skills training, mentorship and online learning. Remuneration is market-related; no fixed stipend amount is published. Preference is given to previously disadvantaged groups and people with disabilities.
Reign Gigs application advice
Choose the role that matches your completed qualification and read its full requirements. These two contracts differ in duration, location and subject requirements; an N6 certificate should not automatically be treated as interchangeable with the advertised NCV qualification.
Describe your own experience accurately, especially where the advert lists a specific kind of prior work. Check uploads for readability and keep any submission acknowledgement. A visible form establishes that the application route is available at the time checked, not that selection or employment is guaranteed.
