Agile Bridge’s 2027 Graduate Programme Offers a January Software Boot Camp

Agile Bridge has opened its 2027 Graduate Programme in Pretoria, with a three-week boot camp starting in January 2027. Its careers page describes mentorship, real projects and exposure to different technologies.

Agile Bridge qualification routes and application

The programme accepts graduates who have completed or are completing BCom Informatics, BSc Computer Science, BSc Information and Knowledge Systems, Bachelor of Computing: Software Engineering, or BEng Computer.

The linked Graduate Software Engineer vacancy is marked open and full-time. It asks applicants to include work they have built, such as GitHub or portfolio links. The form requests availability, degree information, a CV and citizenship information, with an optional academic transcript.

The reviewed pages do not specify a closing date or salary. Check the official programme information and use its BambooHR application link.

Make your portfolio easy to assess

This section offers independent Reign Gigs preparation advice, not a description of a required recruitment exercise.

Select a small number of projects you can explain in depth. For each, identify the problem, intended user, main technical choices and your own contribution. A modest working application with clear documentation can communicate more than a large repository whose purpose is difficult to understand. Do not present copied tutorials or a teammate’s work as entirely your own.

Open each public link while signed out of your account. Check that the reviewer can reach the repository or demonstration without requesting access. Add a short README with setup instructions, important limitations and a description of how to run the project’s tests. If the project cannot be deployed, screenshots and a clear explanation can still help someone understand its behaviour.

Review the repository before sharing it. Remove private customer information, credentials, access tokens and confidential university or employer material. Replace sample records with fictional data where appropriate. Do not upload work that you are not entitled to disclose. Explain restrictions honestly if a previous project cannot be shared publicly.

Prepare one technical story about a bug. Describe how you reproduced it, the evidence you collected, the hypothesis you tested and what confirmed the fix. Include what you would improve next time. This provides a grounded way to discuss problem-solving without trying to memorise a catalogue of fashionable technologies.

For the motivation section, make a specific connection between the work you enjoy and the development you want. Avoid claiming expertise in every language. Distinguish technologies you have used independently from those you encountered in class, and be ready to discuss one example from each area you list.

Finally, check that your proposed availability is realistic. Account for examinations, outstanding academic obligations and any existing commitments. Keep a copy of your submitted answers so that your interview explanations remain consistent with the application.

Frequently asked questions

Does every project need to be large?

No. Choose work that lets you demonstrate sound decisions, readable code and an honest understanding of its limitations.

Should I hide an unfinished feature?

Explain it clearly. Label incomplete functionality and describe what you would test before considering it ready for users.

Keep graduate routes distinct

Our LH Marthinusen graduate development guide covers a separate engineering route. A shared graduate label does not mean identical qualifications, working environments or professional-development outcomes. Read each employer’s conditions independently.
