Cubix Opens a Paid Operations and Supply Chain Internship in Durban

Cubix is offering a 12-month paid Operations and Supply Chain internship in Durban. The closing date is 30 November 2026; the pay amount is not stated.

Who qualifies for the Cubix internship?

You need Grade 12 and a completed bachelor’s degree or advanced diploma from a recognised public tertiary institution. Relevant fields include operations, supply chain, logistics, commerce, financial management, finance, banking, financial planning, risk, insurance and economics.

Applicants must be unemployed South African citizens aged 18–35, have clear criminal and ITC records, and not be in another internship or learnership. Previous participation in a SETA- or government-funded internship excludes applicants.

The role supports a financial-services contact centre through reporting, workforce planning, procurement, stock control and operational coordination. Excel and data skills matter. See the official advert and application form.

Build an application around evidence

These are practical preparation suggestions from Reign Gigs, not extra employer requirements.

Start with an eligibility checklist before spending time on a cover letter. Compare your certificate wording with the advertised qualification routes. Do not describe a qualification as complete if results are outstanding, and do not change the type of institution you attended to match a screening question. If a requirement is unclear, seek clarification rather than selecting an answer you cannot substantiate.

A useful CV example should connect an action to a result. Instead of writing “good with spreadsheets”, explain a piece of work: what information you organised, what error you found or what decision your analysis supported. If the example came from coursework, label it as coursework. If there was no measured outcome, describe the completed output rather than inventing a percentage improvement.

You can refresh your spreadsheet skills with a small practice exercise using fictional information. Create a table of requests, dates, quantities and statuses; check for duplicates; summarise outstanding items; and write three sentences explaining what needs attention. Keep the original data separate from your calculations so that another person can follow the process. This is a preparation exercise, not a claimed Cubix assessment.

Also prepare an example of handling competing priorities. Identify the deadline, the people affected and how you decided what to do first. Explain any follow-up you used to prevent a request being forgotten. A volunteer role, student society or group assignment can provide an honest example if you have not held a formal job.

Before submission, align the education and work-history dates across your CV and online profile. Check that your email address and phone number are correct. Save the final CV, any supporting documents and the confirmation together so you can answer later questions consistently. Ask a trusted reader to check whether your examples clearly distinguish what you did from what the wider group achieved.
