Musina Mayoral Bursary Covers Registration, Tuition, Books and Accommodation for 2027

The Musina Mayoral Bursary supports eligible local students with registration, tuition, books and accommodation for 2027.

Who qualifies?

Applicants must live in Musina wards 1–12 and be in Grade 12 during 2026 or have passed matric. Matric completers receive preference. Parents must be unemployed, indigent or earning below R3,900 monthly. Immediate family members of councillors and municipal officials are excluded.

Target fields include engineering, construction, surveying, planning, public administration, IT, agriculture and environmental studies. Consult the application form for the complete discipline list.

Documents and application

Complete the official 2027 application form. It asks for residence proof, certified applicant and parent/guardian identity documents or birth certificates, a parent/guardian affidavit and academic records. Current Grade 12 learners also need certified June results and a principal’s reference; provide the matric statement when available.

Submit the required documents to the Mayor’s Office, 21 Irwin Street, Musina, 0900. Review every field and the supporting-document checklist before delivery.

Deadline and award conditions

The application form gives 30 November 2026 as the deadline. A separate municipal news article lists 2027, so follow the earlier date and confirm any uncertainty with the Mayor’s Office.

Successful applicants sign an agreement including a municipal-service obligation, subject to the municipality being able to offer employment. Read the conditions carefully before accepting funding.
