Absa Graduate Programmes with Structured Development and Professional Training

Programme guide, checked 1 November 2026. Absa’s official graduate-opportunities page describes several development pathways. It does not, on its own, establish that a specific intake is accepting applications today.
Graduate and trainee pathways
- GenA Graduate Programme: structured development connecting graduates across the continent and developing their ability to work across cultures.
- SAICA Trainee Programme: experience and competencies for selected accounting trainees.
- CIMA Trainee Programme: an accounting-development pathway.
The official hub provides separate Learn more and apply links for these pathways. It also links to Absa’s general jobs portal.
Check the individual programme before applying
No common stipend, guaranteed placement, universal qualification threshold or current application deadline is confirmed here. This guide does not revive the historical “26 posts” graduate-internship claim.
Reign Gigs application advice
Start with the pathway that matches your qualification and professional direction. A broad graduate programme and an accounting training route should not be treated as interchangeable simply because the employer is the same.
- Follow the relevant link from Absa’s official graduate hub.
- Look for an identifiable intake, role or reference, then check its closing date.
- Read qualification, academic-performance, location and work-authorisation requirements in that specific advert.
- Confirm that an application can actually be started for that opportunity before preparing a submission.
If the linked page contains only general information, do not interpret that as an open vacancy. A learnership, bursary or experienced-hire role also should not be presented as the graduate programme you intended to apply for.
Keep the version of your CV and any requested academic records consistent. Follow the employer’s document instructions rather than sending sensitive records to an unverified intermediary. Retain the reference and any submission acknowledgement for your own tracking.
