Prepare an application that is easy to verify
The following preparation advice is Reign Gigs guidance, not an additional employer requirement.
Start by checking the exact title and level of your completed qualification. If your award is closely related but not clearly within a listed field, obtain clarification from the employer rather than assuming equivalence. Do not describe a qualification that is still in progress as completed.
Choose a referee who can comment meaningfully on your academic or practical work. Give that person enough information to understand what you are applying for, and allow time for a thoughtful reference. Do not write or sign a reference in someone else’s name.
Your CV can connect coursework or practical projects to the role without exaggeration. A laboratory exercise, field activity or quality-related assignment may demonstrate relevant habits, but make clear whether it was academic, voluntary or paid work. Explain your own contribution rather than claiming every result achieved by a group.
Plan for the placement
Consider what temporary travel or a changed work location would mean for you. Before accepting a place, ask how any out-placement is arranged and which expenses you would need to cover. Do not assume that a stipend automatically covers housing, food or transport.
Keep a complete set of the documents you submit, together with any portal acknowledgement. Monitor your email, including messages filtered outside the main inbox. If the application system shows an incomplete step, resolve it through the official portal rather than submitting multiple new profiles.
