The Z83 form is used when applying for advertised posts in South African government departments. Completing it accurately and legibly helps the department assess your application fairly and decide which candidates should be considered for interview.
Use the current official form
Download the Z83 from an official government or department website, or collect it from a government department. Do not reuse an old saved form without checking the advert. Some departments now use electronic recruitment systems, so follow the vacancy’s stated process.

- Check the closing date, address or email, and required documents.
