Internship Responsibilities
The selected intern will support the Policy and Board Engagement (PBE) team by contributing to a range of policy, research, and operational activities, including:
- Conducting desk reviews and benchmarking analyses of evaluation policies from comparable international institutions.
- Supporting policy reviews and analysis for independent evaluations.
- Assisting in the preparation, coordination, and follow-up of Green Climate Fund Board meetings.
- Maintaining a knowledge management repository of Board decisions, evaluation recommendations, and management responses.
- Preparing policy briefs, analytical reports, and institutional documents.
- Developing presentation materials using PowerPoint and other visualization tools.
- Providing administrative and coordination support to the Policy and Board Engagement team.
- Performing additional analytical and operational assignments as required.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants should:
- Hold or be in the final stages of completing a Master’s or PhD in:
- Law
- Public Policy
- Political Science
- International Development Studies
- Environmental Studies
- Or another closely related field.
- Have strong qualitative research skills, including literature reviews, document analysis, and thematic synthesis.
- Demonstrate excellent analytical abilities for reviewing legal, policy, and institutional documents.
- Have experience using presentation or visualization tools such as:
- Canva
- Prezi
- Basic Power BI
- Possess excellent written and spoken English.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to work effectively in multicultural and international environments.
- Show initiative, intellectual curiosity, professionalism, and discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference may be given to applicants with:
- Knowledge of independent evaluation in international organizations or multilateral development banks.
- Familiarity with UNFCCC processes.
- Understanding of climate finance governance.
- Experience in climate policy or environmental policy.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
