Background & Internship Description

The Carter Center Internship Program provides participants with practical experience in international development, human rights, and health initiatives. All sessions are in-person at the Atlanta campus, and interns work 20 hours per week while contributing to meaningful projects.

Fall and spring interns receive a stipend of $5,100 for 15-week sessions, while summer interns receive $3,400 for 10 weeks. The program welcomes applicants from all countries who are authorized to work in the United States, including international students at U.S.-based colleges or universities with host institution approval.
