The African Union International Centre for Girls’ and Women’s Education in Africa (AU CIEFFA), in partnership with ImpactHER, is now accepting applications for the 2026 Online Capacity Building Training under the theme “#AfricaEducatesHer – Digital Skills for All: Bridging the Gender Gap in STEAM, Financial Literacy, and Entrepreneurship.”
This fully online training programme is open to women and men from all 55 African Union Member States and the African Diaspora who want to strengthen their knowledge and skills in gender equality, STEAM, digital literacy, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy. Applications close on 31 July 2026.
About the AU CIEFFA Online Capacity Building Training
The programme is organized by the African Union CIEFFA and ImpactHER to equip African youth with practical skills that promote gender-responsive education and economic empowerment.
The training seeks to address challenges facing young Africans by improving access to digital skills, entrepreneurship education, financial literacy, and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics).
To date, the programme has certified more than 12,500 young people across 55 African countries and 34 countries outside Africa.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be an African woman or man.
- Hold citizenship of an African country and reside either in Africa or elsewhere in the world.
- Demonstrate motivation to learn about digital skills, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy.
- Show leadership potential and commitment to promoting girls’ and women’s education.
- Have access to a reliable internet connection and a device such as a laptop, desktop computer, smartphone, or tablet.
- Be able to understand one of the programme languages:
- English
- French
- Portuguese
Training Schedule
Selected participants will be placed into different training batches.
Each batch will:
- Run for one month
- Begin from 31 August 2026
