Global Rights Compliance (GRC) is inviting applications for a senior-level remote role supporting child-sensitive justice and accountability efforts related to the deportation of Ukrainian children.
The position is open to international applicants and operates remotely with a rotational deployment cycle to Ukraine.

About the Team
Since the 2022 full-scale invasion of Ukraine, widespread human rights violations have been documented, including the large-scale deportation and forcible transfer of children.
This role supports the project:
“No Child Forgotten: Strengthening Child-Sensitive Justice and Protection Responses to Deportation in Ukraine.”
The initiative focuses on:
- Documenting and analysing deportation-related crimes
- Strengthening evidence collection
- Developing trauma-informed, child-sensitive investigative methodologies
- Supporting European and international accountability efforts
The successful candidate will provide integrated legal and operational support to civil society organisations and justice authorities engaged in these efforts.
Global Rights Compliance
Key Responsibilities
Legal Advisory & Technical Leadership
- Provide legal advice and mentorship to Ukrainian civil society and justice authorities
- Develop child-friendly best practices for documenting deportation-related crimes
- Draft investigative tools, SOPs, and guidelines
- Promote trauma-informed and victim-centred approaches
Training & Capacity Building
- Design and deliver training programmes on child-sensitive documentation
- Support advocacy related to deportation of children and conflict-related crimes
- Engage with national and international accountability mechanisms
Stakeholder & Project Management
- Build relationships with organisations working on crimes against and affecting children (CAAC)
- Coordinate with international justice bodies and human rights institutions
- Identify opportunities for project development and donor engagement
- Ensure reporting and documentation aligns with internal procedures
Required Qualifications
Applicants must demonstrate:
- 10+ years of experience in documenting, investigating, or prosecuting international crimes
- Specialised expertise in crimes against and affecting children
- Strong knowledge of:
- International Criminal Law
- International Human Rights Law
- International Humanitarian Law
- Experience integrating child-friendly and trauma-informed justice practices
- Ability to manage sensitive information securely
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Fluent English (written and spoken)

- Practical experience working with criminal justice actors
- Demonstrated ability to design child-sensitive justice frameworks
