What You Will Be Doing
As an Online Volunteer, you will support the Haiti team across strategic and reactive human rights work, including:
Research Support
- Collecting, organizing, and systematizing information on human rights issues in Haiti
- Reviewing reports, academic sources, NGO publications, and official documents
- Supporting the development of research materials through desk research and outreach
Media Monitoring
- Daily monitoring of international and local media related to Haiti
- Archiving relevant articles in internal databases
- Sharing key developments with team members
Campaign Support
- Assisting with the planning and implementation of Amnesty International campaigns
- Supporting advocacy and mobilization initiatives
Communications & Administrative Support
- Organizing meetings with authorities or external partners
- Managing digital files, contact lists, and internal databases
- Supporting correspondence and logistical arrangements for team activities
Eligibility & Requirements for Amnesty International Online Volunteer Opportunity
To be considered, applicants should meet the following criteria:
Education & Background
- University degree in Law, International Relations, Political Science, Social Sciences, History, Anthropology, or a related field
- Strong interest in human rights issues in Haiti
Language Skills
- Excellent French, spoken and written
- English or Spanish required
- Fluency in French, English, and Spanish is a strong advantage
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and research skills (qualitative and quantitative)
- Ability to synthesize complex information clearly
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and online collaboration tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work proactively with minimal supervision
- Willingness to carry out digital office and administrative tasks
Desirable
- Previous professional or volunteer experience related to human rights in Haiti
