Key Responsibilities

- Synthesize findings into learning briefs, blogs, and presentations.
- Support webinars, learning sessions, and cross-country exchanges.
3. Data Systems & Information Management
- Manage and update M&E databases.
- Support testing and rollout of new ECW information management platforms.
- Document data-sharing and knowledge management workflows.
- Ensure alignment with UNICEF M&E processes and data standards.
4. Additional Support
Interns may define a personal project midway through the internship and complete it with ECW team supervision.
Eligibility Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- At least 18 years old.
- Enrolled in a master’s programme OR graduated (bachelor’s or master’s) within the past 3 years.
- Academic background in:
- Education
- International development/humanitarian studies
- Social sciences
- Data analysis (qualitative/quantitative)
- Strong analytical skills (Excel required; R, STATA, PowerQuery or Kobo desirable).
- Experience drafting reports, especially global or technical reports.
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Lived experience in a low- or middle-income country is an advantage.
- No immediate relatives working at UNICEF/ECW.
- Not disqualified under UNICEF safeguarding standards.
Language Requirements
- English fluency required.
- French and/or Spanish are strong assets.
Stipend & Working Conditions
- USD 1,700/month for interns based in Geneva, New York, or Copenhagen.
- 70% of GS-3 Step 1 salary for other duty stations.
- Remote work expected as the standard; must be available during Geneva/CET hours.
- Office space available in Geneva and New York if needed.
- Flexible hours; interns may take 2.5 days off per month.
- Internship duration: 5–6 months (26 weeks).
