Role & core responsibilities
- Provide research and policy support for sustainable public (textile) procurement advising BMZ.
- Draft consulting outputs: policy briefs, statements, talking points, study evaluations and background notes.
- Support management of the Quality Label Finder on the Compass Sustainability website.
- Prepare specialist briefings on cross-cutting themes such as living wages and gender equality in procurement.
- Conduct media monitoring and assist with a monthly newsletter about sustainable procurement processes.
- Organize and follow up meetings and events; document participation in national and EU stakeholder meetings.
- Attend events, support documentation and provide logistical follow-up.

- Enrolled at university from 3rd semester onwards, or participating in an education programme that requires an internship, or degree awarded no more than 6 months before the internship start.
Fields of study (preferred)
- Economics, Political Science, Law, Social Sciences or closely related disciplines.
Experience & skills
- Initial relevant professional experience (internships, voluntary work, student jobs) in government, NGOs, companies, business associations or consulting is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of or strong interest in sustainable public procurement and procurement law is an advantage.
- Familiarity with sustainability standards and quality labels is helpful.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills; ability to produce well-structured written outputs.
- Confident MS Office skills; image editing skills are a plus.
- High initiative, motivation, resilience and teamwork skills.
