Responsibilities

As a 2026 Oxfam Public Engagement Intern, you will support multiple teams, including media relations, content creation, digital engagement, design, and brand strategy. Key responsibilities include:

Media & Communications Support

  • Monitor and compile Oxfam news mentions.
  • Maintain a database of U.S.-based journalists.
  • Manage incoming journalist requests.
  • Assist in reviewing and proofreading digital and web content.

Social Media & Digital Engagement

  • Track hashtags, influencer campaigns, and social media trends.

Content & Asset Management

  • Upload, tag, and organize digital assets (photos, videos, text) in Oxfam’s global system, Inuru.
  • Train staff to use the Inuru platform.

Administrative & Event Support

  • Assist in coordinating community events such as Hunger Banquets.
