The United Nations is offering eight (8) Human Rights Internships, providing students and recent graduates with a unique opportunity to gain firsthand experience in international human rights advocacy, policy development, and diplomatic engagement. Interns will be placed within different UN agencies and departments that focus on human rights, including the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), the Human Rights Council, and other specialized committees. Tasks
As a Human Rights Intern at the United Nations, responsibilities will vary depending on the assigned department but may include:

Qualifications
Education and Certification
- Applicants must be enrolled in the final academic year of a Bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing a graduate/postgraduate degree in human rights, international law, political science, international relations, social sciences, or a related field.
- Recent graduates (those who have completed their studies within two years of applying) are also eligible.
- Strong academic performance and coursework related to human rights and international law are preferred.
Experience
- Prior experience (paid, volunteer, or academic) in human rights organizations, legal research, policy analysis, or international development is an advantage.
