Background & Job Description

The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) is offering paid internship positions through its BRIDGE (Building Relationships, Innovation, and Diversity through Global Engagement) Summer Program. Launched in 2021, the program is focused on increasing diversity in the environmental field by supporting students who may not have considered a career in sustainability or conservation. The 10-week internship will run from June 16 to August 22, 2025, with both virtual and hybrid formats available.

This initiative provides real-world experience in various fields like science, policy, marketing, geospatial analysis, and more. Over 25 internship roles are available for summer 2025.

Tasks

• Participate in hands-on projects supporting WWF’s mission in conservation and sustainability.
• Collaborate with team members on ongoing departmental tasks.
• Attend development workshops and networking sessions.
• Assist with research, analysis, and communications in your assigned role.
• Engage in a diverse, inclusive work environment to build leadership skills.

Qualifications

Education and Certification

• Must be currently enrolled in an associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral program.
• Recent graduates transitioning into the next level of education are also eligible.
• Doctoral students should not have completed more than two years of coursework.

Experience

• No prior work experience required, but applicants should demonstrate:
  • Strong attention to detail and initiative.
  • Adaptability and collaboration in team environments.
  • Familiarity with tools like MS Office, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams.
  • Interest in environmental issues or related fields.

Additional Information

• Internship Duration: 10 weeks (June 16 to August 22, 2025).
• Working Hours: 35 hours per week, with every other Friday off.
• Compensation:
  • Undergraduate students: $20.50/hour
  • Graduate students: $22.50/hour
