Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Engagement at UNEA-6: Provide support for the Ecosystems Division’s strategic engagement and involvement at the sixth session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-6). This includes coordinating engagements of the Director and Deputy Director, preparing briefing materials, and supporting divisional engagement with draft resolutions. - Transition Post Climate Division: Facilitate the realization of the division’s new identity post Climate Division by conducting research, coordinating internal communication between branches, and supporting a smooth transition process. - Improving Operating Practices: Identify and implement solutions for improving operating practices within the Ecosystems Director’s Office to drive efficiency. This includes upgrading division item tracking systems, making strategic recommendations, and conducting quarterly reviews of upcoming priorities.
- Supporting Division Initiatives: Provide project support on key division initiatives by engaging with branches across the Division and assisting in delivering on UNEA-6 resolutions and other key projects.
- Delegation Coordination: Support Ecosystems delegation coordination at key conferences by preparing briefing notes, organizing delegation meetings, and providing on-the-ground coordination as needed.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in international relations, political science, or a related field.
