The University of South Africa (UNISA) invites unemployed graduates to apply for its 2025 Internship Programme. The initiative is tailored for South African citizens who have completed a qualification from UNISA (NQF Level 6 or higher) and are seeking their first formal work experience.
The internship aims to support career development by providing workplace exposure in various departments, including Regional Services and Counselling & Career Development. Selected candidates will assume duty on 1 June 2025.
Tasks
Interns will support operational and administrative duties in their assigned departments. Tasks may include:
- Handling clerical and support functions
- Participating in counselling and career development services
- Assisting with general office duties under supervision
- Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring accuracy in assigned tasks

Qualifications
Education and Certification
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be UNISA graduates (NQF Level 6 and above)
- South African citizens under the age of 35
- No previous formal work experience
- Must not have worked at UNISA or any other organization before
- Must accurately include their UNISA student number and position reference in the application
