Internships

UNICEF is Offering a Part-time (50%) Paid Internship

UNICEF is offering a part-time (50%) paid internship within its Migrant and Refugee Programme in Italy. The internship will be office-based in Rome for six months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding availability.

Italy remains a key entry point for migrants and refugees, with a significant number of unaccompanied and separated children (UASC) arriving through the Central Mediterranean and Western Balkan routes. While the Italian child protection system is robust, it faces challenges due to high arrival rates, system fragmentation, and disparities in service quality.

To address these challenges, UNICEF has developed the Refugee and Migrant Response Platform (RMRP), which harmonizes data collection, monitors reception system quality, and assesses UNICEF’s intervention impact. The selected intern will support the data entry and analysis of the RMRP and collaborate with the UNICEF Migrant and Refugee Programme team in Rome.
