Role Overview
The Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist will support the Climate Finance Network (CFN) and the Governance of Climate Change Finance (GCCF III) projects under the UNDP Regional Bureau for Asia and the Pacific (RBAP). The role involves developing monitoring frameworks, managing data, ensuring compliance with results frameworks, and contributing to gender-sensitive, results-based project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring & Evaluation:
- Develop and maintain monitoring plans for CFN and GCCF projects.
- Ensure availability of data and baseline information for project indicators.
- Lead data management processes and ensure accurate reporting.
- Guide country teams on the implementation of M&E approaches.
- Collaborate on project reporting and ensure quality evaluations.
- Gender Sensitivity & Inclusion:
- Work with gender specialists to integrate gender-sensitive benchmarks.
- Identify gender and poverty-related data for transformative change.
- Capacity Building & Learning:
- Provide training on results-based management principles.
- Analyze project data for decision-making and improved efficiency.

Eligibility Criteria
Education:
- Master’s degree in project management, social sciences, economics, international development, or related field.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of relevant experience.
Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in strategic planning, project design, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Proficiency in results-based management, data analysis, and knowledge management.
- Familiarity with web-based systems (e.g., Atlas, ERP tools) is desirable.
Languages:
- Fluency in English (knowledge of other UN official languages is an asset).
Technical Competencies:
- Expertise in data storytelling, results-based management, and system thinking.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel as necessary for duty assignments.

Contract Details
- Type: International Personnel Service Agreement (IPSA-10)
