The UNDP Global Graduate Fellowship (often referred to as the UNDP Graduate Programme or similar “People Programmes” for emerging talent) is a prestigious initiative designed to cultivate the next generation of development professionals. Education and Certification
- Hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in any relevant field with a maximum of 1 year relevant work experience OR
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field with a minimum of 2 years and a maximum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
- This program is open to graduates from diverse academic backgrounds, including but not limited to: economics, political science, public administration, environmental studies, law, international relations, development studies, IT, data science, engineering, and social sciences.
- A strong academic record is expected.
Experience
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in international development and a commitment to helping achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and team-oriented environment.
- Strong systems-thinking, innovation, and/or digital skills are highly valued.
- Fluency in English (both spoken and written) is required; working knowledge of other UN official languages (French, Spanish, Arabic, Russian, Chinese) may be an asset or a requirement for some positions.
