Office/Unit/Project Description: UNDP is the knowledge frontier organization for sustainable development. The Bureau for Policy and Programme Support (BPPS) develops policy and guidance to support UNDP’s Strategic Plan. The HIV and Health Group, Global Fund Team, provides support through the Global Fund portfolio, health system strengthening, and other health implementation support. Duties and Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Programme Advisor, GFPHST, the Programme Specialist will:
- Develop and maintain strong technical and strategic partnerships with health and development partners.
- Provide technical advice and quality assurance to UNDP Country Offices in the management of Global Fund projects and other health projects. UNDP Calls for Applications | Homebased Programme Specialist
- Monitor grants financial and programmatic management for Global Fund-financed programs and other health projects.
- Promote knowledge sharing and development of systems and tools for effective management of Global Fund grants and capacity development. UNDP Calls for Applications | Homebased Programme Specialist
Institutional Arrangement: The Programme Specialist will report to the Programme Advisor (Copenhagen) of GFPHST Team.

- Desired skills include work experience from a developing country, experience in HIV, TB, or malaria programs, knowledge of UN or UNDP’s rules, policies, and procedures, knowledge of Global Fund’s rules, policies, and procedures, and working knowledge of French. Required Language(s):
