Background & Job Description

The United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC) offers an exceptional opportunity for graduate students and recent graduates worldwide to gain practical work experience through its Internship Programme. Designed to complement academic learning, this program enables interns to contribute to the work of the UNSSC while honing their professional skills.

The UNSSC is a core training institution within the United Nations system, supporting UN staff development, knowledge management, and learning. Tasks

Practical Work Assignments

Qualifications

To be considered for the UNSSC Internship Programme, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Enrollment in a Master’s or Ph.D. programme, or
  • Enrollment in the final year of a Bachelor’s programme, or
  • Graduation from a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. programme within the past year.

Language Requirements

  • Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is essential.
  • Working knowledge of another UN official language (such as French, Spanish, or Arabic) is an asset.
