Background & Job Description
The TWAS Fellowships for Research and Advanced Training support young scientists from developing countries by enabling them to spend 3–12 months at a host research institution in another developing country. The aim is to enhance research capacity, foster collaboration, and strengthen links between researchers across the Global South.
Tasks
- Conduct independent or collaborative research in natural sciences.
- Participate in advanced training and knowledge exchange.
- Build long-term academic and professional networks.
Qualifications (Education and Certification) For TWAS Fellowships For Research and Advanced Training 2025
- Applicants must hold at least an MSc degree in natural sciences or a related discipline.
Experience
- Must be employed at a research institution in a developing country.
- No age limit, but preference is given to early-career scientists and those from Least Developed Countries.
- A strong research background and institutional support are essential.

- Funding: Covers international airfare plus up to USD 300/month subsistence.
