Background & Job Description
Sasol, a global integrated chemicals and energy company, is once again opening doors for South Africa’s brightest minds through its Mainstream Bursary Programme for the 2026 academic year. This programme is more than just financial aid—it is a full-circle initiative aimed at equipping students in science and engineering with everything they need to succeed academically and professionally.
Successful applicants receive a comprehensive bursary package that includes tuition, accommodation, books, meals, and a living allowance. Beyond financial support, the programme offers developmental training, mentorship, and career opportunities within Sasol upon graduation.
These bursaries are performance-based and come with a work-back or pay-back obligation, meaning selected students may need to work for Sasol upon graduation or repay the funds should they not comply with the terms. This ensures a mutually beneficial relationship—Sasol invests in your education, and you help drive innovation and sustainability in their operations.
