Learnership Requirements
Eligibility Criteria:
- South African citizens
- Aged between 18 and 35 years old
- Must have a valid Matric Certificate, including English and another South African language
- Must be unemployed and not currently studying
- Not previously completed the SAQA ID 49649-Further Education and Training Certificate: Long-term Insurance
- People living with disabilities are encouraged to apply
Additional Criteria:
- Must be residing in rural areas, as classified by the municipality, if applying for rural-focused learnerships
- Must not be enrolled in another INSETA-funded programme at the same time unless it’s INSETA-initiated and promotes employability
Key Responsibilities
Learnership participants will:
- Participate in hands-on training in various roles within Sanlam’s financial services division
- Receive mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals in the industry
- Gain exposure to the practical aspects of financial services, insurance, and customer relations
- Complete structured learning and assessments to obtain relevant certifications
