The Open University is hiring a Research Fellow for its Centre for Protecting Women Online (CPWO). This Centre addresses online harms against women and girls through cross-sectoral research that informs law, technology, and policy. The successful candidate will work closely with the Centre’s director, Professor Olga Jurasz, and lead the Law & Policy work stream, contributing to the Centre’s ambitious research goals and partnerships.
Tasks
- Lead and co-manage the Law & Policy work stream
- Design and implement research projects from inception to completion
- Develop funding proposals and manage grant applications
- Collaborate with external partners and stakeholders
- Disseminate findings through academic publications, conferences, and public platforms
- Deliver knowledge exchange and impactful policy engagement activities
- Support strategic objectives of the Centre

Qualifications
Education and Certification
- Master’s degree in Law or a related field relevant to the Centre’s objectives
Experience
- Significant experience in a legal or policy role related to women’s online safety
- Strong history of influencing policy through research or partnerships
- Proven success in securing research funding
- Experience working with non-academic partners
- Skilled in public communication and knowledge exchange activities

- Salary: £46,735 to £55,755 per annum
