Job Summary:
The selected candidate will design and develop an online Afghanistan WASH Information Management System. This system will allow for better data collection, analysis, visualization, and insights concerning WASH interventions. They will also ensure that the system keeps track of and analyzes all assessments conducted. The proposed system will have public, internal, and partner interfaces, and it will be linked with Activity Info for progress data retrieval.

Main Tasks:

1. Meeting with stakeholders and developing the work plan and software requirements specification.
2. Designing a user-friendly interface for the public, partners, and internal staff.
3. Developing a login system via Active Directory.
4. Developing an automatic and real-time data sync mechanism for data retrieval from Activity Info.
5. Developing required forms for data collection and interfaces for data and trends analysis.
6. Developing a follow-up mechanism and notification management.
7. Developing a content management system for the public interface.
8. Testing the system and sharing the testing reports.
9. Developing a user manual and source documentation.

Requirements:

1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Applications.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in software application/system development.
3. Knowledge/Expertise/Skills required in C#, ASP.NET API, T-SQL, JavaScript/TypeScript (Angular), GIS mapping, CSS (Bootstrap/ Material), Power BI/ Tableau, ODK/Kobo/Activity Info.
4. Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency is considered an asset.
5. Fluency in English, with knowledge of another official UN language or a local language being an asset.
