Job Purpose:
In alignment with the UNFPA Evaluation Policy and the 2022-2025 Evaluation Strategy, the Evaluation Office has initiated a strategy to enhance the utilization of evaluations through improved communication and knowledge management. This strategic framework aims to strengthen the use of evaluations both within and outside UNFPA, with an emphasis on increased stakeholder engagement, effective communication of evaluations, and enhanced accessibility of evaluative knowledge. You will increase the visibility of the EO and UNFPA evaluations through digital communications, including social media outreach, thereby strengthening the use of evaluation for decision-making, accountability, and learning. Requirements
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in digital and social media communications, marketing or branding, and public relations, preferably with a focus on international development.
- A proven track record as a social media manager, particularly for Twitter, with experience managing multiple social media platforms, creating content, and using social media analytics to shape strategies.
- Demonstrable experience in building, engaging, and maintaining online communities via social media strategies.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, along with experience in creating high-quality social media content from technical materials within tight deadlines in dynamic environments.
- A self-starter who is highly organized, good at managing time, and has shown the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Solid editorial judgement, encompassing ethical and political awareness.
- Experience in creating videos and graphics for social media platforms using tools like Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, and similar tools.
- Familiarity with international development, particularly with the evaluation function at the United Nations or a similar system, is an advantage.
Education:
Candidates should have an advanced university degree in communications, media, marketing, or a related field. A bachelor’s degree coupled with an additional four years of relevant work experience may be accepted as a substitute for the advanced degree.
