Background & Job Description

Global Rights Compliance is seeking a Junior OSINT Researcher to join their Starvation and Humanitarian Crisis Division. The role involves collecting and preserving open-source intelligence (OSINT), conducting legal research, drafting preliminary reports, and supporting investigative and training projects. The team specializes in documenting mass starvation violations with sensitivity to unseen datasets and political nuance.

Duty Station: Remote
Contract Duration: 3 months


Tasks

  • Collect information for investigative purposes using OSINT methods.
  • Preserve open-source material in line with best practices.
  • Conduct legal research and support drafting project deliverables.
  • Assist with preparation of training materials.
  • Contribute to smooth implementation of investigative and research activities.

Qualifications (Education and Certification) Remote Junior OSINT Researcher at Global Rights Compliance

  • Advanced studies in public international law, international humanitarian law, or international criminal law preferred.

Experience

  • 2+ years in open-source investigations.
  • Practical experience handling sensitive material securely.
  • Familiarity with databases, case management, and data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Experience working in MENA region, especially Syria, is desirable.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work independently, flexibly, and creatively in a fast-moving environment.
