Org. Setting and Reporting: The United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) is the central hub for coordinating global efforts to reduce disasters. This role is within the UNDRR Regional Office for Africa in Nairobi, reporting to the Deputy Chief of the UNDRR Regional Office. Programme Management Officer Position Now Open at the UNDRR
Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of the African Roadmap for Impact-based Early Warning Systems and Transboundary Risk Management. Programme Management Officer Position Now Open at the UNDRR
- Contribute to the identification of funding opportunities, preparation of proposals, and project management.
- Facilitate the design and development of training for hydro-meteorological modeling and early warning systems.
- Assist in the collection and management of data for monitoring the Sendai Framework. Programme Management Officer Position Now Open at the UNDRR
- Maintain contacts with partners and stakeholders, ensuring timely dissemination of relevant information.

- Support the development and implementation of coherent policy documents and various written outputs.

- Professionalism in disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, and early warning systems.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data for decision-making.

Education:

Work Experience:

Languages:
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French is desirable.
Assessment: Evaluation may include an assessment exercise and a competency-based interview.
