Background & Job Description
Plan International, a globally recognized development and humanitarian organization, is seeking a Project Officer to support the Young Health Project (YHP) in Bangkok, Thailand. The YHP is an international initiative aimed at improving the health and rights of young people aged 10 to 24 in marginalized communities by addressing the risk factors associated with non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
About Plan International
For over 85 years, Plan International has been dedicated to advancing children’s rights and promoting equality for girls. Operating in over 80 countries, the organization works to tackle the root causes of poverty, violence, exclusion, and discrimination while empowering young people to create a more just and equal world.
The YHP aligns with the 5×5 model, linking five major risk factors (tobacco use, alcohol consumption, unhealthy diet, physical inactivity, and air pollution) to five major NCDs (cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes, cancer, chronic respiratory diseases, and mental health issues). By addressing these challenges, the YHP seeks to prevent NCDs among young people and promote holistic youth health and wellbeing.
This role will involve working alongside the YHP Project Manager, YHP Project Coordinator, and other team members to implement the project in Bangkok. The position is ideal for professionals passionate about public health, youth advocacy, and community development.

- Engaging with local communities to promote awareness and drive behavioral changes through campaigns and workshops.
- Facilitating youth empowerment programs, including peer education and leadership training.

- Developing and managing communication materials, such as reports, training guides, and awareness resources.
- Organizing events and field activities, ensuring successful execution of youth health initiatives.
- Providing logistical and administrative support, including budget management and documentation.
- Contributing to research and policy advocacy efforts, ensuring alignment with the YHP’s objectives.
- Collaborating with global YHP teams, sharing insights and best practices from the Thailand project.
