Overview of the Role

As a Research Assistant at Plan International Poland, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team working to create safer and more inclusive cities for girls and young women. Your primary responsibility will be to support the Research Manager in all aspects of the research project, from conducting desk research and facilitating participatory activities to analyzing qualitative data and preparing reports. Key Responsibilities

Support in Desk Research: Your role will involve conducting extensive literature reviews, collecting relevant data, and assisting in preliminary data analysis to inform the research objectives. By synthesizing information from various sources, you will contribute to the development of a comprehensive understanding of the safety needs of girls and young women in urban settings.

Training Co-researchers: You will play a crucial role in developing and delivering training modules for co-researchers who will be actively involved in the research process. Your aim will be to create an inclusive and supportive environment that empowers co-researchers to participate fully and contribute their insights and experiences.
Participatory Research Assistance: As part of the research team, you will help organize and facilitate participatory research activities, ensuring that they are conducted in a manner that is respectful, ethical, and responsive to the needs and preferences of participants. Your role will involve coordinating logistics, managing administrative tasks, and supporting the smooth execution of the research.
Qualitative Data Analysis: You will assist in the analysis of qualitative data collected during the research process, using prescribed methodologies and tools. Your insights and interpretations will contribute to the generation of meaningful findings and recommendations that can inform future programming and interventions.

Reporting and Documentation: Your responsibilities will also include preparing reports, presentations, and other communication materials under the supervision of the Research Manager. You will be responsible for maintaining organized records of research activities, findings, and outcomes, ensuring that they are accurately documented and easily accessible.

Language Skills: Proficiency in Polish, English, and Ukrainian languages would be advantageous, given the context of the research project.

Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in information technology and computer skills, including the use of software such as MAXQDA for data analysis, will be beneficial.
