Background & Application Overview

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has opened its 2025 application window for Trimester 1 TVET College students. South African students planning to study, or currently studying, at approved Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges are encouraged to apply for this fully funded government bursary.

NSFAS provides financial support to students from low- and middle-income households. Funding covers tuition, registration, accommodation, meals, and learning materials for eligible students. This is a crucial opportunity for those aiming to start or continue their vocational education in 2025.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible for NSFAS 2025 funding, applicants must:

Be a South African citizen or permanent resident
Have a combined household income of R350,000 or less per year
If living with a disability, household income must not exceed R600,000
Those earning between R350,000 and R600,000 may be eligible for an NSFAS loan
