The Organisation
Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organization dedicated to advancing children’s rights and promoting equality for girls. Our vision is to ensure that every child realizes their full potential in societies that respect their rights and dignity. New Job Opening: Project Management Specialist at Plan International
Our Approach
Child-Centered Community Development (CCCD):
We place children at the center of our programming, ensuring that their voices are heard and their needs are addressed. By working directly with children, their families, and communities, we foster environments where children can grow up healthy, educated, and protected.
Gender Transformative:
We recognize that gender inequality is a root cause of many of the challenges faced by children, particularly girls. Our programs are designed to challenge and change harmful gender norms and practices, promote gender equality, and empower girls and young women to become leaders and change-makers.
Rights-Based:
Our work is grounded in the principles of human rights. We advocate for the rights of children and young people, holding governments and other duty-bearers accountable for their obligations under international human rights law.
Inclusive and Participatory:
We believe that the most effective solutions come from those who are directly affected by the issues. Our programs are developed and implemented in collaboration with children, young people, and their communities, ensuring that their perspectives and experiences shape our work.

Youth Empowerment:
We empower young people to become active agents of change in their communities. Our programs provide life skills training, vocational education, and opportunities for civic engagement, helping young people build brighter futures for themselves and their communities.
