Qualifications

Education and Certification

  • Currently registered for or completed a postgraduate degree in:
    • Applied Mathematics
    • Pure Mathematics
    • Statistics
    • Econometrics
    • Engineering
    • Financial Engineering
    • Quantitative Risk Management
    • Or any related qualification with a strong quantitative component

Experience

  • No prior work experience required
  • Must demonstrate academic excellence, analytical thinking, and a passion for quantitative risk in banking
  • Participation in the Quants Exploration Programme (QEP) is advantageous but not mandatory

The Nedbank Quants Exploration Programme (QEP) serves as a precursor to the graduate programme, offering final-year undergraduates and aspiring postgraduates an immersive experience into the quant role and Nedbank culture.
