- Applicants must reside within 50 miles of Redmond, Washington, or Atlanta, Georgia
- Redmond applicants must be members of Microsoft-sponsored organizations (full list in FAQs)
- Atlanta applicants must attend schools in specific districts like Atlanta Public Schools, Dekalb, Fulton, Cobb, and Gwinnett County (full list in FAQs)
