In alignment with India’s 2030 Agenda commitment, the state of Haryana has set ambitious SDG targets and established the SDG Coordination Centre (SDGCC) with UNDP’s support. To bolster these efforts, UNDP seeks an intern to contribute to SDGCC’s work in Panchkula.

Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Monitoring & Evaluation Lead and the Regional Head (North Region), the intern will:

  • Assist in designing forms and questionnaires for data collection.
  • Manage and clean data for analysis.
  • Conduct secondary research and prepare M&E reports.
  • Support the roll-out of the SDG Dashboard and CSR Match-making platform.
  • Facilitate internal and external monitoring activities.
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned.

The Associate Communications Officer will play a crucial role in conceiving and executing communication activities aligned with UNHCR’s Global Communications Strategy. This includes developing and implementing communication strategies, monitoring news and popular trends, forging strategic partnerships, creating compelling content, and ensuring its dissemination through various channels. The role requires a keen understanding of target audiences, journalistic standards, and political sensitivities, along with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

As an intern with UNDP, you will have the opportunity to engage in a wide range of activities under the guidance of experienced professionals:

  1. Design and Development: Assist in the design and development of forms, questionnaires, and data collection tools for M&E activities.
  2. Data Management: Support data management processes, including data cleaning, organization, and analysis, using various software tools and platforms.
  3. Research and Reporting: Conduct secondary research, analyze data, and contribute to the preparation of M&E-related reports and documents.
  4. Dashboard Implementation: Participate in the roll-out of the SDG Dashboard and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Match-making platform, facilitating data visualization and analysis.
  5. Event Coordination: Assist in organizing and facilitating internal and external monitoring events, such as meetings and workshops, to gather insights and feedback.
  6. Additional Tasks: Undertake any other related tasks as assigned by the Monitoring & Evaluation Lead and Regional Head.
