Background & Job Description

KPMG East Africa’s 2025 Graduate Recruitment Program is designed to empower the next generation of professionals with the knowledge, skills, and experiences needed to thrive in a dynamic business environment. The program provides permanent employment with structured learning pathways and access to cross-border opportunities across East Africa.

As a graduate, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team working on exciting projects in areas like audit, consulting, tax, data analytics, engineering, finance, and international development. KPMG looks for driven, curious individuals from a broad range of academic disciplines who are ready to contribute meaningfully from day one.

Successful applicants will have access to mentorship, hybrid working arrangements, and opportunities for international travel. The program is highly competitive, and professional certifications are considered an added advantage.


Tasks

Participants in the program may be placed in one of several business units, including:

  • Audit and Assurance: Supporting clients through audit engagements and risk management.
  • Tax and Regulatory Services: Providing tax advice and compliance support.
  • Consulting – People & Change: Designing people-centric strategies for clients.
  • Consulting – Finance & Accounting: Supporting financial transformation initiatives.
  • Technology and Engineering: Implementing tech-driven solutions with sustainable impact.
  • Data and Analytics: Turning data into actionable insights.
  • International Development Advisory Services (IDAS): Managing development programs across Africa.
  • Deal Advisory & Strategy: Supporting clients in mergers, acquisitions, and corporate strategy.

Qualifications

Education and Certification

Applicants must hold or be expecting to complete a Bachelor’s degree in any field by August 2025. Specific academic criteria by country:

  • Kenya: Second Class Upper or GPA 3.0+; KCSE minimum B with B in English & Math.
  • Rwanda: Second Class Upper, GPA 3.0+ or 70%+; B in three principal A2 subjects.
  • Tanzania: Second Class Upper, GPA 3.5+; Division 2 at O-Level with B in English & Math.
  • Uganda: Second Class Upper, CGPA 4.0+; 14+ points at A-Level with credits in English & Math.

Applicants must have completed all coursework and project work by August 2025 and have a university-issued completion letter.

Experience

  • No prior work experience required, but exposure to leadership, volunteering, or internship roles is advantageous.
  • International high school qualifications and professional certifications are welcome.
