Are you passionate about project management and digital transformation? The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), a leading development agency for German international cooperation, is looking for a Junior Project Manager to support the Large Scale Solution (LSS) S4GIZ.
As part of GIZ’s digital transformation strategy, this initiative focuses on optimizing processes and implementing end-to-end digital solutions to enhance operational efficiency. This role is based in Eschborn, Germany, and is open for full-time or part-time employment. The position provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project planning, resource management, risk monitoring, and digital process optimization within an international development setting.
Tasks
In this role, you will:
- Support project planning, deliverable tracking, and risk monitoring for digital transformation initiatives.
- Assist in preparing status reports and presentations for GIZ committees and senior management.
- Coordinate resource planning for project phases, ensuring smooth implementation.
- Organize and contribute to internal and external workshops (virtual and in-person).
- Provide administrative and organizational support to the Project Management Office (PMO).
- Participate in knowledge management, presentations, and communication strategy development.
Qualifications
Education and Certification
- A university degree in economics, social sciences, administrative sciences, or a technical field.
Experience
- Initial experience in project management, particularly in digitalization projects.
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Project) and experience with SAP Solution Manager.
- Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Strong organizational skills, adaptability, and initiative in dynamic work environments.
Languages
- Fluent German and English (required).
- French proficiency (desirable).
