Background & Job Description

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) of Kenya, established under Article 171 of the Constitution of Kenya (2010), has officially opened applications for the 2025 Internship Programme. This initiative aims to empower graduates and diploma holders by providing practical experience in Kenya’s Judiciary.

The programme offers two categories:

  • Degree Internship Programme (for bachelor’s degree holders)
  • Diploma Internship Programme (for diploma graduates)

Interns will work across various directorates, departments, and court stations nationwide, gaining hands-on skills and supporting the efficient administration of justice.


Tasks

Intern responsibilities will vary depending on the placement, including:

Degree Internship Programme (94 positions):

  • Office Administration: Scheduling, filing, clerical support
  • ICT: Cybersecurity, network administration, database support, web development
  • Human Resource Management: Recruitment support, HR data processing
  • Supply Chain Management: Procurement, inventory management
  • Information Science: Record keeping, digitization projects
  • Building Services: Architectural drafting, mechanical/electrical maintenance
  • Finance: Budget planning, financial reporting
  • General Graduate Trainees (Courts): Case file tracking, court diary management

Diploma Internship Programme (115 positions):

  • Office Administration: Typing, scheduling, document handling
  • ICT Support: Troubleshooting, system maintenance
  • Supply Chain Management: Procurement support, vendor liaison
  • Information Science: Library and records management
  • Building Services: Civil engineering support, site inspections
