Position Overview
We are seeking an Associate Programme Management Officer in the Means of Implementation Division, specifically within the Climate Finance Subdivision. In this role, you will provide critical assistance to support the effective implementation of climate finance initiatives under the Convention and the Paris Agreement. Your contributions will be instrumental in mobilizing and scaling up support to Parties, enhancing the impact of global climate action.

Key Responsibilities
As the Associate Programme Management Officer, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Engagement Support
- Provide technical support to developing countries and private sector stakeholders regarding climate finance access and mobilization.
- Conduct analyses, prepare briefing materials, and draft proposals to enhance engagement with stakeholders.
- Intergovernmental Support
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports that address the needs of developing countries related to climate finance.
- Compile and analyze finance data from national communications and other relevant reports.
- Representation and Partnerships
- Draft responses to inquiries from Parties and prepare executive briefs.
- Facilitate interactions with public and private finance agencies to support climate finance initiatives.
Qualifications
- Educational Background:
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in environmental science, policy studies, economics, or a related discipline. A first-level university degree with two additional years of experience may be considered.
- Experience:
- A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in climate change policy, with at least one year at the international level being desirable.
- Language Skills:
- Fluency in English (both oral and written) is required. Knowledge of another UN working language is desirable.
