Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

The Human Resources Officer will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions, including:

  1. Providing HR support to Oxfam staff in Jordan and the host community, including recruitment, policy updates, leaves management, and social security compliance.
  2. Participating in the interview process for staff recruitment and providing HR training and capacity-building sessions for Oxfam staff.
  3. Ensuring timely and accurate processing of monthly payroll and social security enrollments for Oxfam employees.
  4. Acting as a focal point for Oxfam’s account on social security matters and facilitating communication with relevant authorities.
  5. Supporting the recruitment manager in various recruitment processes, including advertising, long-listing, interviewing, and maintaining recruitment databases.
  6. Monitoring and advising management on changes in HR policies, procedures, and systems and ensuring adherence to Oxfam’s HR standards.
  7. Overseeing staff induction processes, ensuring that new hires receive proper orientation and support.
  8. Maintaining up-to-date HR records, including personnel files, payroll data, and medical claims, and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
  9. Supporting staff in accessing medical services and liaising with medical providers to ensure quality service delivery.
  10. Organizing and maintaining HR files, both electronically and in hard copy, to ensure efficient record-keeping and document management.

Experience, Knowledge & Competencies

The ideal candidate for the role of Human Resources Officer should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  1. Generalist HR experience of at least 2 years, preferably in non-governmental organizations, with a strong understanding of recruitment procedures and HR best practices.
