Background & Job Description
The International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) is a global NGO bringing together nearly 200 civil society organizations in more than 100 countries. Founded in 1922, FIDH is committed to promoting and defending the universality of human rights as defined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Independent of any government, FIDH is recognized internationally for its expertise. It conducts advocacy campaigns, investigates human rights violations, takes legal action, and strengthens international protection mechanisms for human rights defenders.

For 2025, FIDH is recruiting an Intern in Internal Communications and Social Networks for a 6-month internship starting in September 2025. The intern will join the organization’s communications department, which consists of a dynamic and supportive team of seven professionals working to defend human rights worldwide.
Tasks for International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) Internships 2025
A. Support for Digital Communication
- Write and publish content on social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter (X), Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube in collaboration with digital communications managers and thematic/geographical offices.
- Support content creation, including video editing.
- Identify key influencers relevant to FIDH’s campaigns.
- Monitor and evaluate communication actions through monthly reports.
- Track the latest web and social media trends.
- Support the implementation of international communication campaigns.
- Moderate FIDH social networks (respond to private messages, comments).
- Support content translation in French, English, and Spanish.
- Publish articles on the FIDH website.
B. Internal Communication Support
- Assist with the design, production, and updating of internal communication tools such as user guides, graphic charters, presentations, and reports.
- Analyze and produce monthly reports on communication actions and campaigns.
- Conduct iconographic research for campaigns and materials.
- Share departmental activity internally with member organizations and other offices.
- Support the organization of events and internal initiatives.
This internship offers exposure to international communication strategies within the human rights sector and an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to FIDH’s global mission.
Qualifications
Education & Certification
- Currently enrolled in a Bac +4/5 program (equivalent to Master’s level) in communications, international relations, or another relevant field.
- Must hold a valid internship agreement issued by a French educational institution (mandatory requirement).
Language Requirements
- Excellent level of French or English, and good command of the other language (B2 or C1).
- Knowledge of a third language such as Arabic, Spanish, or Russian is an asset.
Skills & Experience
- Strong interest in digital communication and familiarity with social media.
- Demonstrated commitment, writing skills, and organizational abilities.
- Interest in current events and international human rights.

- Duration: 6 months
- Location: Paris, with partial remote work (hybrid)
- Hours: Full-time (39 hours per week)
Financial Conditions
- Monthly allowance: €659.76
- Electronic restaurant voucher card (€9 per meal), 60% covered by FIDH
