Human Resources Officer Fixed Term Appointment at UNICEF
Responsibilities:
- Business Partnering:
- Assist the HR Business Partner in advising clients on HR-related needs and developing action plans based on policy research and data analysis.
- Provide accurate and timely advice on HR processes and policies, prioritizing client orientation.
- Advise on equitable and transparent solutions to human resources issues in line with policies and regulations.
- Promote organizational goals for gender equity and cultural diversity.
- Strategic Human Resources:
- Collaborate with HQ Divisions, regional and country offices to support and contribute to corporate HR strategy formulation and implementation.
- Recommend improvements to HR systems, policies, and processes based on best practices and benchmarking.
- Introduce innovation and share best practices and knowledge learned.
- Support to Implementation of HR Services:
- Provide support in various HR areas (recruitment, job classification, career development, performance management, data analytics, learning & development, etc.) to attract, retain, and motivate high-caliber staff.
- Analyze and synthesize issues and recommend solutions or further actions required in assigned casework.
- Learning and Capacity Development:
- Collaborate on designing and delivering learning plans for staff.
- Contribute to mapping competencies for staff in the assigned client portfolio to support talent development.
- Research efficient and cost-effective learning products to enhance staff skills and competencies.
- Participate in capacity-building initiatives.
- HR Data Analytics:
- Collect, interpret, and analyze HR data to inform decision-making on HR processes and strategies.
- Support the development and implementation of data collection systems for optimized data quality.
- Assist country offices and partners with HR information management.
Requirements:
- Education: A University Degree in human resource management, business management, international relations, psychology, or related field.
- Experience: Two years of professional experience in human resource management in an international organization and/or large corporation.
- Language: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of a local language is an asset.
