About the Role
The UN Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) provides financial solutions to assist the poor in 46 of the world’s least developed countries. Their focus areas include inclusive digital economies, local development finance, and investment finance. Interns will support various units within the IDE team, including the Migration and Remittance team, Policy Accelerator team, and Knowledge Management and Communication team.
Key Internship Positions:
- Policy Interns (East Africa, West and Central Africa, with gender & research focus) in locations like Uganda, Ethiopia, Belgium, Senegal, and Cameroon.
- Communication Interns based in Brussels.
- Data Analytics and Research Interns for the Migration and Remittance team in Switzerland and Thailand.
- Gender Research Interns in New York.
Main Responsibilities:
Depending on the unit, interns will:
- Conduct research on digital financial inclusion, regulatory frameworks, and financial consumer protection.
- Support communication tasks, including drafting posts, blogs, presentations, and organizing events.
- Contribute to knowledge management and communication initiatives.
- Conduct data analytics, market trend analyses, and customer journey mappings.
- Support gender research focusing on remittances.

Eligibility:
