The Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (TBI) is offering a Graduate Associate Internship in Kenya. This position is aimed at recent graduates and final-year students eager to work on real-time government advisory, policy development, and delivery-focused projects.
Interns will be embedded in TBI Kenya’s active teams, supporting public sector engagements and strategy implementation work with government clients. The internship is structured to provide professional development, mentoring, and practical exposure to the complexities of development and reform across various sectors.
This is a full-time, six-month internship for Kenyan nationals only, beginning as soon as a suitable candidate is identified.
Tasks
As part of their contribution to the TBI Kenya team, the Graduate Associate Intern will:
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research and policy analysis.
- Assist in preparing presentations, briefing materials, and internal reports.
- Help design and track implementation plans for government projects.
- Document lessons learned and compile success stories for internal learning.
- Support coordination with stakeholders, including meeting notes and follow-ups.
- Contribute to internal updates and performance assessments.

Qualifications
Education and Certification
- A recent graduate (within the past 12 months) or final-year student.
- Degree in Economics, Public Policy, Political Science, International Development, Engineering, Statistics, or related fields.
Experience
- Strong academic record.
- Previous internship or experience in research, consulting, analysis, or public sector work is advantageous.
- Demonstrated interest in public service or development sectors.
Additional Information
- This internship is open to Kenyan nationals only.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Candidates must be highly organized, analytical, and proactive.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) are essential.
