Background & Job Description
Eskom is offering a fully funded technical learnership programme at its Koeberg Nuclear Power Station in the Western Cape. This initiative aims to develop skilled professionals in the energy sector by providing both academic and hands-on experience. The programme is part of Eskom’s long-term commitment to professional development and talent building.
Applicants who are successful in the selection process will be placed within various Eskom divisions to undergo institutional and practical training under expert supervision.
Tasks
Participants in the learnership programme will:

- Support safety monitoring and compliance tasks
- Assist technical teams in energy operations and related projects
- Learn about Eskom’s operational standards, policies, and nuclear safety practices

Qualifications
Education and Certification:
Applicants must meet one of the following qualification levels:
- National N6 Certificate with trade-related subjects
- National Diploma, BTech, BEng, or BSc Eng in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Electronics
- National N4/N5 Certificate with trade subjects
- Grade 12 with:
- Mathematics – minimum 50%
- Physical Science – minimum 50%
- English – minimum 40%
- N3 or NCV Level 4 with the same minimum subject marks
Additional Requirements:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must be willing to undergo a formal recruitment process
