Background & Scholarship Description
The Mundus MAPP Consortium, supported by the Erasmus+ action of the European Union, awards Erasmus Mundus Joint Master (EMJM) Scholarships to top applicants worldwide. The programme spans 24 months and provides a monthly allowance of €1,400, covering travel, visa, installation, and subsistence costs, in addition to a full tuition-fee waiver.
Applicants can also benefit from Institutional Scholarships, which offer a 50% tuition fee waiver per year, although this does not include a stipend.
Additional support is available for students with individual needs or disabilities.
Financial Coverage
The EMJM Scholarship includes:
- Tuition fee waiver for the entire programme.
- Monthly stipend of €1,400 to cover living and subsistence costs.
- Health insurance meeting EACEA minimum requirements.
Expenses not covered by the scholarship:
- Study visits (600–1000 EUR in Year 1)
- Winter School (600–1000 EUR in Year 2)
- Travel and visa costs between home and consortium countries

Eligibility Criteria
- Outstanding academic achievement.
- Applicants from both EU and non-EU countries are welcome.
- Candidates who have already received an EMJM scholarship are ineligible.
- Students can apply for other external funding but cannot hold another EU-funded scholarship for the same programme.
Application Deadlines
- December 10, 2025 – Applicants seeking financial aid or early self-funded applications.
- April 15, 2026 – Non-EU/EEA applicants not seeking financial aid.
- July 1, 2026 – EU/EEA applicants not seeking financial aid.
Scholarships are awarded based on academic merit, and early applications are encouraged due to limited availability.
